Advent Sunday begins a new church year with a service of hope and anticipation. Through Scripture, prayer, the lighting of the Advent wreath, and Holy Communion, we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ and the promise of God’s light breaking into the world.  Today we light the first candle on the advent wreath.
