Church Leadership

Bohdan has been the senior paster at Tierrasanta Lutheran Church since 2008. Bohdan grew up the son of a pastor in Bemidji, Minnesota and went to seminary in the Bay Area of California. He started his career as a junior pastor in Fargo, North Dakota before making his way to San Diego.

Bohdan is a scholar. He knows and has taught Greek at the college level, using his understanding to study the ancient and original Greek texts of the Bible. His theological knowledge is deepened from his study and living abroad in Israel. Though supported by knowledge, Bohdan's pastoral philosophy is rooted in personal relationships with other people but more importantly wih our heavenly Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

SCOTT OLSON

BUSINESS MANAGER

Scott ensures that the church operates smoothly and efficiently and within legal and civic requirements. He is the paramount strategist and guardian for non-council related operational issues.

ELIZABETH DUFFIELD

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Sometimes called the "Queen of Everything", Elizabeth oversees the day-to-day operation of the church. She uses her organizational talents to communicate with members, staff, vendors and visitors as well as owning all office related responsibilities and preparing for worship services.

BETSY FRATER

DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

Betsy augments church life with her lifetime love of music. She is the church organist, selector of music and director of the vocal and bell choirs.

MELISSA VARGAS

DIRECTOR OF TLC PRE-SCHOOL

Melissa runs the TLC Pre-School, an important ministry of the church designed to serve the community and instruct young children in the ways of the Lord. She started her experience with the pre-school as a teacher and now works to keep the pre-school viable, pertinent and operating within legal and civic requirements.

SANDY ROBINSON

BOOKKEEPER

Sandy is our bookkeeper extraordinaire keeping detailed accounting records of all church monies and bank accounts. She assists the Treasurer and ensures that all all bills and financial obligations are paid on time.

AMY HALL

WORSHIP PROJECTION TECHNICIAN

Amy uses her expertise to operate the the video and audio projection equipment during worship services.

Sam keeps our church clean and stocked with supplies as well as handing setup and tear down of equipment and furniture for events.

TONY COLSON

TECHNOLOGY MASTER

Tony brings in decades of technology experience to the church. He helps the church leverage technology for communication, automating processes and its evangelical ministries.

Aleyna Enriquez

WEBMASTER

Aleyna serves as the Webmaster at Tierrasanta Lutheran Church, where she oversees the church's website and digital presence. She works to keep online information accurate, accessible, and up to date, helping connect members and visitors with the church's ministries, events, and resources.
