The Youth Committee of the congregation is established by the church constitution and bylaws and is presided over by the Director of Youth.

The purpose of the Youth Committee is to advise, help and support the Director of Youth who oversees and promotes all aspects of involving youth in Christian life, growth and fellowship.

Primary responsibilities of the Director of Youth (supported by this committee) include:

• Develop, implement and monitor programs to minister to the needs of the youth of this congregation.
  
• Integrate service projects and recreational or fellowship activities.
  
• Emphasize integrity, concern for others, and good sportsmanship in all activities.
  

Members of this committee serve in an advisory capacity and have no official say or vote on the Congregation Council; although, members can research issues, discuss and make recommendations to the Director of Youth to take to the Congregation Council for vote, authorization or to make policy. Members of this committee generally assist the director as needed and appropriate.
