The Christian Education Committee of the congregation is established by the church constitution and bylaws and is presided over by the Director of Christian Education.
The purpose of the Christian Education Committee is to advise, help and support the Director of Christian Educationin advancing Christian education opportunities.
Primary responsibilities of the Director of Evangelism (supported by this committee) include:
Maintain the importance of Christian education for all ages in the eyes of this congregation
Recruit and enlist whatever auxiliary help and staffing is necessary to carry out the educational efforts of this congregation
Constantly seek out opportunities to improve and enlarge educational efforts of this congregation
Members of this committee serve in an advisory capacity and have no official say or vote on the Congregation Council; although, members can research issues, discuss and make recommendations to theDirector of Christian Education to take to the Congregation Council for vote, authorization or to make policy. Members of this committee generally assist the director as needed and appropriate.
