The Stewardship Committee of the congregation is established by the church constitution and bylaws and is presided over by the Director of Stewardship.

The purpose of the Stewardship Committee is to advise, help and support the Director of Stewardship who oversees all aspects of promoting stewardship and ensuring the church is acting as good stwareds of the gifts and resources entrusted to the church.

Primary responsibilities of the director (supported by this committee) include:

• Maintain the importance of a faithful stewardship life in the eyes of this congregation.
  
• Continually educate the membership in the meaning of stewardship.
  
• Conduct whatever efforts are necessary in order to enlist a commitment of spirit, talents, time. work, intellect, service and money.
  

Members of this committee serve in an advisory capacity and have no official say or vote on the Congregation Council ; although, members can research issues, discuss and make recommendations to the director to take to the Congregation Council for vote, authorization or to make policy. Members of this committee generally assist the director as needed and appropriate.
