The Members Committee of the congregation is established by the church constitution and bylaws and is presided over by the Vice President.

The purpose of the Members Committee is to advise, help and support the Vice President who oversees all aspects of member involvement and integration by providing input and helping to plan and run member enrichment activities.

Primary responsibilities of the Vice President (supported by this committee) include:

• Develop, implement, and monitor programs to help integrate new members into the active life of this congregation, as well as to meet the needs of its current members.
  
• Serve as an advocate for current members and encourage them to maintain active congregational involvement.
  
• Willing to work toward a thorough knowledge of each family situation in this congregation.
  

Members of this committee serve in an advisory capacity and have no official say or vote on the Congregation Council; although, members can research issues, discuss and make recommendations to the Vice President to take to the Congregation Council for vote, authorization or to make policy. Members of this committee generally assist the Vice President as needed and appropriate.
