The Evangelism Committee of the congregation is established by the church constitution and bylaws and is presided over by the Director of Evangelism .

The purpose of the Evangelism Committee is to advise, help and support the Director of Evangelism who oversees all aspects pertaining to Christian evangelism within the congregation and even the community of God's Kingdom.

Primary responsibilities of the Director of Evangelism (supported by this committee) include:

• Maintain before the eyes of this congregation the fundamental need for sharing the Good News of God's love in Jesus Christ with all people by both word and deed.
  
• Seek closer cooperation with people of other Christian denominations and bodies in areas of church life where such cooperation would offer a witness to Christian unity, and where such cooperation would also assist in carrying out programs that cannot be effectively carried out alone.
  
• Keep the name and work of this congregation before the eyes of the community.
  
• Offer learning experiences where the techniques and skills of evangelism are learned and sharpened.
  
• Schedule regular and systematic opportunities in which this congregation can be actively involved in sharing the Good News with others.
  

Members of this committee serve in an advisory capacity and have no official say or vote on the Congregation Council; although, members can research issues, discuss and make recommendations to the Director of Evangelism to take to the Congregation Council for vote, authorization or to make policy. Members of this committee generally assist the director as needed and appropriate.
